“My riches consist, not in the extent of my possessions, but in the fewness of my wants.” – Joseph Brotherton.
As I am writing I am craving a bag of chips. A want obviously, not a need. A salty, processed food that I am trying to break my addiction to. Thank goodness that I live at least 20 minutes from the closest store or I would be giving in to myself right now after a day of taking care of sick children and having suffered another disappointment during the day.
It is very clear that sometimes our wants feel more needs. However, this is only a mind set that to change takes perseverance and patience. My simple addiction to salty, processed foods is one that I am intent on breaking.
